NAIMA Announces Two New Senior Staff AppointmentsAlexandria, VA (November 3, 2008) The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) is pleased to announce two appointments of senior staff. The NAIMA Board of Governors has appointed Angus Crane Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Crane’s responsibilities will focus on management of the regulatory, legislative and sustainability team at NAIMA. The team will promote public policies and regulatory initiatives that advance the benefits of energy efficiency, provide NAIMA’s Board and membership with current information and developments on regulatory, legislative and sustainability issues, and present comment, input and research on proposed legislation, regulations, and sustainability guidelines addressing energy conservation and potentially affecting NAIMA’s members. Most importantly, Mr. Crane and the regulatory, legislative and sustainability team will serve as advocates for the sustainability and environmental benefits achieved through the energy efficiency of insulation products. Mr. Crane previously held the position of Vice President, General Counsel at NAIMA. The NAIMA Board of Governors has appointed Kate Offringa Vice President, Public Affairs. Ms. Offringa’s responsibilities will include management of the team working with NAIMA’s four product committees and the communications committee. The public affairs team promotes the energy efficiency benefits of residential and commercial building insulation, metal building insulation, and industrial, pipe and air handling insulation products. The team’s work is focused on code and standards development and implementation, technical research projects and training, support for voluntary energy efficiency programs, and public outreach and education. Ms. Offringa and the public affairs team will serve as a resource for NAIMA’s Board and membership, keep them informed of developments in these areas, and work to position NAIMA members’ products as the premier thermal and acoustic insulations for reducing energy use, improving the environment and providing economic benefits. Ms. Offringa previously held the position of Director, Federal and State Programs at NAIMA.
