NAIMA Provides Free Literature For Consumers, Contractors And Builders On Federal Trade Commission's Updated Home Insulation Rule
Alexandria, VA (March 8, 2006) The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has released free information on the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) recent revisions to the Home Insulation Rule. This rule is designed to protect consumers from misleading, unfair or deceptive acts or practices. With increased energy costs and available Federal tax credits, consumers are turning to insulation more than ever to improve their homes’ energy efficiency. NAIMA encourages insulation contractors, consumers and builders to better educate themselves on the new FTC requirements regarding home insulation. NAIMA’s “Insulation Facts #6, Labeling and Advertising of Home Insulation” helps consumers, contractors and builders understand what is required in terms of package labeling and advertising of home insulation. “Insulation Facts #9, Facts About Fiber Glass Loose-Fill Insulation” provides specific information on the requirements for loose-fill insulation under the revised FTC Rule.
