Overview

The Building Insulation Committee of NAIMA focuses its efforts primarily in three areas; promoting the safe installation methods of fiber glass insulation to builders, insulation contractors and home owners; encouraging the development and enforcement of energy codes, and marketing the benefits of an energy-efficient home.

Alliance to Save Energy promotes energy efficiency worldwide to achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner environment and energy security. ASE also offers a Home Energy Checkup.

ASTM International - world's leading standards development organization. ASTM Technical Committee C16 has developed virtually all the standards for insulation materials used in the United States and in many other nations.

Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP) - dedicated to assisting states in the development and implementation of statewide building energy codes.

Environmental Protection Agency

The International Code Council (ICC) is dedicated to developing a single set of comprehensive and coordinated national model construction codes comprised of three regional associations, BOCAI, SBCCI, and ICBO. The ICC site is the place to go for the latest information on building codes and code development.

Insulation Contractors Association of America (ICAA) is an organization of insulation installers that specialize in residential and light commercial projects.

U.S. Green Building Council - a coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.

National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is the trade association for US home builders. The main site provides information resources for contractors, educational programs and economic and statistical information about the home building industry.
